Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese filmmaker and manga artist, and he co-founded Studio Ghibli animation film studio. Ghibli's films are widely known and loved in India also, especially those who are studying the Japanese language.

Some of you must already know, but I happened to find yesterday that a few of his timeless, fascinating, and captivative works, including My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ,) Castle in the Sky (天空の城ラピュタ,) Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (風の谷のナウシカ) are listed on Netflix.

Particularly, Kiki's Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便) influenced me a lot in my childhood until mid-teen.

I would seriously plan to go on a solo trip on my bamboo broom, which my mother bought from a nearby home-center, as soon as I would turn 13! I read many varieties of books about witches to self-study, and some books taught me how to train myself to become a white witch. For example, meditating under the moonlight and keeping the right and straight posture to connect to the universe are a few "magic" still working for me. 

In the course of this enthusiasm, I also learned the sad and horrible history of witch huntings and trials that killed and seriously harmed many innocent women and men in medieval Europe. I became so knowledgeable about witches that I led a group of like-minded girls to educate them too. Furthermore, I requested my homeroom teacher to open the classroom window all the time as I could commute to the school from the sky anytime soon. My sweetest memories are always attached to Kiki's Delivery Service.
