The shop staff was much less stalking the customers, unlike those in any BIBA outlets in Pune.

The other day while I was in Tokyo, I had an opportunity to visit the first BIBA outlet in Japan, which is located around 3 minutes from Nishikasai (西葛西) Station, Tokyo Metro Tozai Line (東京メトロ東西線.)

Reference: Ethnic Wear - Shop Online Indian Ethnic Wear for Women & Girls - Biba

While their products are not to my taste, I purchased a cotton face mask for my mother, who loves Indian ethnic clothes.

Two Indian ladies welcomed us and told us many stories about their products. According to them, on average about 30 footfalls to the shop daily, out of which 10-20 people purchase. I think it's because most people have a clear purpose and intention to visit them. The price range was between about 4,000 (a pair of trousers) and 15,000 (a set of salwar, kameez, and dupatta) Japanese yen.

I want to applaud their venture into far-east Asia, even if it's in the center of Japan's largest district of the Indian population.
