*Yunomori entrance; I missed my niece, Radha-chan, who loves Sento in Japan.
Do you like Sento, the Japanese style of public bath or spa?
Well, if you do, you won't need to go to Japan all the way but enjoy Sento in Bangkok, Thailand, just three hours away from Mumbai.
During the recent trip to Bangkok in the middle of May, N-san, who is a Japanese lady lives in Chiang Mai, was also in the city and we together went and experience a unique type of spa called Super-Sento "Yunomori" located about 1.8 km away from BTS Phrom Phong Station.
Yunomori (湯の森)
It was extremely hot and humid day in the city. I had just arrived from Fukuoka in the night before and hadn't taken my shower yet; in short, it was the perfect day to take a good bath.
By the way, why hot and warm Onsen style of the spa in all-time-humid Bangkok? N-san and I concluded that was because killer-chilling air-conditioning all through the year plus tropical eating habits made people in Bangkok require warmth from inside their bodies. When we dipped ourselves in the perfect temperature water, we were convinced of our idea.
The bathing fee, around 450 baht, include rental Yukata summer kimono. We arrived the facility at around 10 am and was availed the bath with a half price; it was a pleasant surprise. As named Super-Sento, Yunomori has bathing facility plus Thai traditional massage services, cafe and restaurant, and other facilities you can enjoy relaxing in Yukata.
Yunomori was well-maintained, completely clean with providing a highly secured locker to each visitor. So you can relax in the steamy bathes without any worries.
I love to go to Sento or Onsen with my friend because being naked each other; we tend to become simpler and freer to express and talk about different things and topics while indulging in the warm current of the comfortable water. In many cases, our friendship ties stronger.
