In the past decade of living in India, I have seen several Japanese people who tried to enter the Indian market, but a very few of them could succeed in bringing their business on track. As Siddharth is also still working hard to run the day-to-day business, I understand how it's hard to run the show for foreigners. That is why Mr Nakajima's quest is just amazing and eye opening.
I believe, although it may be a somewhat worn-out expression, that the key to Mr Nakajima's success was that he has never given up and been ready to wait for the result by accumulating the down-to-earth effort.
He has never given an excuse of whatever not going smooth to India and Indian people. In other words, he has never given up India and Indian people.
He undoubtedly has had faced so many times the desperate struggles. However, every such time he had honestly thought of the resolution, acted on it without thinking of the failure, repeated the trial-and-error and finally overcame it.
Only after going through all these efforts, he has built a strong network of friends, acquaintances and followers (yes, he is called "Guru" by people who admire him) and that will act as a powerful safety net whenever he needs.
I also bought and read his book "インドビジネス40年戦記 (40-year Battles in Indian Business)" from Amazon Kindle. In the book also, he teaches us that in India and wherever in the world, only the way to success is to be honest, down-to-earth and continue the humble effort.
