Miserable in My Life

A lot of thoughts come and go.

I have to admit that I am not so immersed in Indian culture, nor so in that of Maharashtrian. If the choice were 100% in my hands, Pune wouldn't come in even the first ten on the list of the dream places where I wanted to spend my life. The hustle and bustle, the unfamiliar language, the simple yet sweltering family relations, and the stark contrast to the serene beauty of Japan were all factors that contributed to my initial aversion to India.

Yet, the decision to leave my homeland, Japan, was a significant one. I was determined to make a change, even if it meant moving to a place that was not my first choice - India.

The dilemma between my love for Japan and India is a constant struggle. I am still trying to come to a conclusion about which country I genuinely prefer.

Over two decades of my life in India, I often traveled back and forth between the two countries. I want to write an essay about it in Japanese or English tomorrow.
