ANA is introducing limited campaign fare for the direct route between Mumbai and Narita (Tokyo) for the promotion of their new jet-airliner for this route.
Wanna go to Japan on your holiday? Now is the chance, reserve your seats with ANA!
I boarded Economy Class last night and arrived Narita, Tokyo this morning, and further proceeded to Fukuoka after two hours, all were arranged in a single online booking. It was very new and exciting experience for me.
First, the check-in counter staffs welcomed me with Japanese greeting "Konbanwa," moreover, I found not only a Japanese staff but also a few Indian staffs speaking to me in Japanese even at the boarding gate. It was a pleasant surprise.
The flight was comfortable, and all staffs were friendly and helping. Meals were perfect for me; particularly they served Soba (buckwheat) noodle when we were still in the sky over the Indian continent! Wasabi was too spicy, though, and many people were coughing up, including myself ;)
Siddharth booked me a two-row seat at the tail end, and luckily nobody came next to me so that I could sleep tight even in Economy Class. Yes, in spite of their active campaign, the flight was relatively empty.
At Narita, domestic transfer to Fukuoka was also smooth and easy to find. I had to pick once up the baggage at Narita to clear the custom, but there are no hassles to re-check in the suitcase bound for Fukuoka. The domestic transfer counter is situated in the right direction once you come out of the custom, just walk according to the signboards, you will spot ANA dedicated counter.
Domestic transfer area was tiny but thus calm and peaceful. There are study desks where you can charge your PC and mobile devices while working comfortably with Free-WiFi. ANA Festa shop for discount souvenirs to my mother and friends is a plus.
