22nd Online Piano Lesson: The New Beginning

Posted on 20 Sep 2022 21:00 in ASKSiddhiのひとりごと by Yoko Deshmukh

I saw in my teacher's Zoom that his studio in Israel had a couple of the world's top-class pianos.

Starting this week, I am taking the lesson weekly, instead of bi-weekly, as per my teacher's kind suggestion.

He was back in Israel this week, so the time adjustment was more manageable than when he had been in India. He told me the story behind Granados' piece I have been learning since the last month and explained the importance of drawing my abstract image when playing a song. It was my first time meeting a music teacher telling me such a concept, and I felt grateful. I shall try to find and pursue my way of interpretation and expression over the time of my life.

The assignment for next week is to play the entire series of Hyden I have learned from him so far. Also, the music theory (consonant and dissonant) would continue.
